“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes…the ones who see things differently – they’re not fond of rules. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things – the push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
– Steve Jobs
This is one of my all-time favorite quotes. Besides the fact that I am a total Apple junkie, I admire Steve Jobs for what he was able to accomplish as the CEO of Apple. I recently read a blog by someone else who has just put herself into the class of people described in this quote… Cathy from Cathy’s Creations. Her “Blessing Bags” have gone viral. At the time of this writing, she’s had 1.5 million views and over 21,000 shares on Facebook!
Cathy’s Creations Blessing Bags
Cathy recommends keeping these Blessing Bags pre-packed in your car and ready to hand out whenever the need arises. What a great way to be good stewards to the human race and to teach compassion and kindness to our children! Here’s the list of items she uses to make her Blessing Bags:
- Gallon Size Ziploc Bags
- Package of Tissues
- Toothbrush and Toothpaste
- Hotel-size Shampoos
- Trail Mix
- Granola Bars
- Pack of Gum
- Coins or pre-determined dollar amount, say $5.00 (could be used to make a phone call or purchase a food item)
- Hand Wipes
- Warm Pair of Socks
- Packet Rain Poncho
- Tampons (for women)
Use your creativity! There are countless items you could include in these bags. Cathy also suggests adding a note of encouragement to each of the bags.
Go forth and change the world…one bag at a time. One great idea at a time. Thanks, Cathy, for being an inspiration to us all!
